Decided to use a vacation day and chase Musky again today. Thought for sure I was gonna need the rain gear all day but it stopped just as I was launching the boat. Ended up being what I consider perfect fishing conditions. I got lucky and landed a low-mid 30′s Musky in the first hour and that was my last shot for the day. I saw more predator activity chasin baitfish, but couldn’t get any other Musky interested. Once again a great day to be on the water and its always nice when a fish or two decides to crush your bait. LOL

There were baitfish pods just about everywhere that there were weeds and they were being chased all morning. Didn’t have any action for the first 3hrs or so. Then bam, a low 30′s Musky drilled my bait. Gave a great fight for a smaller fish. Shortly after releasing that fish, I spooked a mid-upper 30′s fish out of the weeds. Couldn’t get it interested in the fly I was throwing at the time. Overall it was a great day to be on the water.

I myself have caught 2 nice size small mouth bass near the picnic grove using a jitterbug just before dark, the jitterbug has not failed me yet of course I always forget to bring the camera when I go fishing.

Same day around the same time he caught this nice size carp using the same bait

My partner and I fished for about an hour and a half between 7:15pm and 8:45pm. I got a small rock bass right off the bat, and a little largemouth followed a couple minutes later. I lost 2 other fish that seemed to be of good size. My partner got hold of a muskie, but no luck bringing him in. All of the action came while using YUM Dingers. The water temp was pretty warm. I’d have to say about 80 degrees.
